A NEW BBC show which hopes to find Britain's best home cooks wants food-loving Swindonians to take part.
Applications are now being accepted for ten contestants to face off in a new cookery competition which will be judged by the Great British Bake-Off's Mary Berry and presented by Claudia Winkleman.
'Britain's Best Cook' will put non-professional cooks from all over the country to the test in eight episodes of competitive culinary
Mary Berry and a yet-to-be-determined second judge will be looking for dishes that define a new benchmark of excellence, whether it’s roast beef with the perfect roast potatoes, an ingenious twist on chicken curry or an irresistible chocolate pudding.
Contestants will need to demonstrate skill under pressure and individual flair as they’re asked to serve perfect versions of dishes that define modern British home cooking and create their special take on well-loved classics.
The show is being produced by KEO Films.
A spokesperson for KEO Films said: “We have heard there is a growing community of foodies within Swindon and a large number of people who have a passion for home cooking.
"For that reason, we are looking for passionate and talented home cooks from Swindon who love making delicious food for their friends and family to apply for the programme.”
