FRESH from their successful run of Midsummer Night’s Dream Shakespeare Live are about to embark on a mini tour of Wiltshire.

The romantic comedy was a real hit at Cleeve House this summer. For Shakespeare Live’s fifth appearance on the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Dell stage, the company adapted the Bottom scenes from their Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The play within a play starred Swindon actor Steve Sprosson in the leading role of Bottom, and it was written and directed by Pat Cannings and Graham Paton.

At the end of the second show, new kid on the Shakespeare Live block, Oli Hounsell, took centre stage to propose to his girlfriend Rachel in front of the large audience. She said yes!

This month Shakespeare Live will be touring the play stopping off at: St Margaret’s Hall in Bradford on Avon on Thursday, October 5; The Mission Theatre in Bath on Friday, October 6; The Cause in Chippenham on Saturday, October 7; The Pound in Corsham on Tuesday, October 10; and the Wharf Theatre in Devizes on Wednesday, October 11.

All performances start at 8pm and all seats cost £10. Details and booking links are on www.shakespearelive.com or call 07780 938107.
