A NINE-year-old boy had an unusual start to his morning assembly when he sat down in front of hundreds of his friends and classmates at Lacock School to have his hair shaved off for charity.
Harry Fennell, of Showell, stunned his parents Jane and Peter when he said that he wanted to grow his hair out so that he could shave it off to help Cancer Research and the Little Princess Trust.
“He just came home from school one day and told us he wanted to do it,” his mum said.
“A few children at his school have had cancer in the past and every family knows someone affected so he knew all about it. So, on September 14, he sat down in front of the whole school and had it all shaved off.
“It was quite a surprise but we are all so proud of him.
“Harry has raised nearly £400 now and the support from all his friends and family has been brilliant.
“His brother Charlie thinks it is amazing but couldn’t believe how he didn’t go as red as beetroot in front of his friends!”
