THE legacy of inspirational fundraiser Kevin Logan will live on this weekend with a special event of wellbeing and craft staged in support of his work.

The event, which is being put on today at The Western Community Centre on Somerset Road from 11am until 5pm.

Kevin, from Priory Vale, succumbed to cancer just before Christmas at the age of 57, just 18 months after being diagnosed with the disease. Determined to spare others’ lives, he set up the Loganberry Trust to deliver free prostate cancer screenings across the region and put an end to preventable deaths each year.

Today his daughter Jo Bellman and her mum Donna Nicholson will be hosting a craft and wellbeing event to raise money for the trust, along with the Blue Cross.

Leading the day’s activities will be meditation by Stella Cresswell. Donna added: “We have virtual reality experiences with Steve Birch, taster therapy sessions of reflexology, Reiki, pedicures and spiritual healing. There will be Tarot readings with Ruth Callard-Rogers and Stella, and mediumship from Caroline Coe, Nicky Matthews, Caroline Gostling and Melanie Jones.

“We have a fabulous mixture of craft stalls, wooden slate products, Angel Art by Ewa Douglas, Encaustic Art (a one to one is available on the day), Uplands School, hand made jewellery and clothes, local Wiltshire photographer Saffron Brady, crystals, henna, face painting, a large Tombola and very importantly tea and cake!

“We wanted to put on an event like this to bring people together so we can all share our talents and love for each other. Carrying on the good work that Kevin started is very important to our family so we chose to support Loganberry Trust. We also wanted to help a local animal charity, so chose Blue Cross Burford.”
