CHRISTMAS came early to the Highworth Emporium on Saturday as it unveiled its new room full of gifts and treats to get customers into the festive spirit.

Co-owners Aga Gabrysiak and Richard Marsden spent dozens of hours transforming their storage room into a cosy grotto with lights, tinsel, toys, and a tree.

Christmas classics played over the speakers as curious visitors browsed several shelves full of wintry wares.

Aga said: "This took a whole week to do, 14 to 16 hours a day, it was a lot of work.

"People were asking us about Christmas stock a few weeks ago and some of our customers started their Christmas shopping in July.

"This room hasn't been open long but we've already sold a few bits and pieces and it's had a massive response online."

Richard said: "It's a labour of love.

"We did this last year and it was really popular, so after that success we decided to do it again.

"We think it will really come into its own in November, it'll probably be the most popular part of the shop."
