RAMSBURY hit Swindon Centurians Spectrum for six this weekend in a resounding win away from home in the top flight of the Swindon & District League.

Cameron Lee led the way with a hat-trick for the visitors, while Gareth Brown, Tom Mildenhall and Charlie Tippens also registered.

Sean Evill’s side are now up to seventh in the Premier Division table after recording their first win of the season.

There was also a big win for Tawny Owl, whose 7-0 triumph at home to Stratton Juniors saw them remain top of the tree with four wins out of four.

Jack Allan scored four times, in addition to Karl Spencer, Kieron Jennings and Scott Price who all notched.

Lower Stratton will feel aggrieved not to come away with a victory after they put four past FC Dorcan in front of a home crowd.

Diogo Casiniro, Richard New, Jamie Saunders and Steve Norris were all on target, but it wasn’t enough as the visitors claimed a 5-4 win.

Dorcan’s goals came from Luke Murphy, Bartlomiel Bys and Gregory John, while Eddie Herbert grabbed a double.

Doubles from Barnaby Chadwick and Steven Andrews were enough for Ashton Keynes, they picked up all three points against Wroughton Reserves in a 4-3 win.

Swindon Spitfires were narrowly edged out by visitors Wheatsheaf, who maintained their perfect start to the season as strikes from Curtis Lever and Nathan Cooper fired them to a 2-1 victory.

Bakers Arms stretched their unbeaten start to the campaign to four games after they saw out a 4-2 win over Swindon Supermarine DC.

Cameron Shrubb’s double turned out to be in vain for the home side, as Ashton Glover and Jakub Bedrich also got two each.

In Division One, Ruby Removals came out on top of their top-of-the-table clash with Chiseldon, winning 5-4 making it five wins from a possible five so far.

The win puts them five points clear at the top of the table with 15 points, Ollie Clarke, Jack Karpinski and James Lovell all registering for Chiseldon, with the latter claiming two.

A goal each from Kray Dunn, Jason Hodson and Adam Harman was all that was required for North Swindon WMC, who beat Haydon Wick 3-2 away from home.

Highworth Town Development recorded their second win of the campaign with the same scoreline, as they edged past Redhouse by a single-goal margin.

Swindon AFC were slightly more convincing in their clash with Brockhill United, picking up all three points with a 3-1 win.

Nathan Smith, Callum Wells and Alex Street all got themselves on the scoresheet for the hosts.
