A teenager who robbed and assaulted a woman while on bail for another violent offence has been told he is facing a lengthy jail term.
Liam Carter, 18, admitted taking the phone with violence and causing actual bodily harm to the female on Monday, August 7.
He has also pleaded guilty to taking a car without consent, dangerous driving, not having a licence and driving without insurance as well as a GBH charge from last year.
Judge Tim Mousley QC, sitting at Swindon Crown Court, adjourned the case to Friday, November 3, and remanded Carter, of Welcombe Avenue, in custody.
He said: "There will be a pre-sentence report that deals with risk and the length of sentence.
"Custody is inevitable: it is a question of how long the sentence will be."
