CHILLED shelves in Old Town's Co-operative store are bare, after fridges broke down overnight.
The issues are understood to have affected "almost all" of the fridges.
When customers visited the High Street store this morning they were faced with shelves empty of sandwiches and other items.
One customer said: "They have the stock, they have just been unable to put it out.
"Staff are helpfully taking customer requests and going out the back to the storage area to collect every order, which is very good of them."
It is not yet known when the fridges will be repaired.
- Fridges are now working and restocked
