BUS bosses were left beaming after picking up two awards this week.
Go South Coast, which owns Swindon-based Thamesdown Transport, was named Large Bus Company of the Year at the prestigious RouteOne Bus Awards.
Judges praised the company's customer services, relationships with the community and innovative facilities like WiFi and USB charging points.
In a double-win for the company at the glitzy Birmingham awards bash, Andrew Wickham, Go South Coast's managing director, picked up the Manager of the Year gong.
“I am tremendously proud of our achievements - and they are in no small part due to the efforts of Thamesdown in Swindon,” said Andrew. “I am lucky enough to work with wonderful people here, and I’m delighted for the entire team.
“This group of experienced and highly skilled professionals provides our customers with an excellent service, transporting them across the island with the minimum of fuss. This is just reward for all their efforts.
“I’d like to congratulate all those who have contributed to an incredibly successful year.”
