A RAM-raid ATM gang are still at large.

Police have reissued an appeal for any information that could help them track down the gang responsible for stealing an ATM from Waitrose earlier this month.

The thieves smashed into the store on Mill Lane, Wichelstowe, between 8.25pm and 8.30pm on Sunday, October 1.

Three vehicles – a Land Rover Defender, Vauxhall Astra-style van and a dark coloured Audi saloon - were seen outside the store.

PC Alex Mulley said: “Our investigation into this incident is currently ongoing and in particular, I would be keen to hear from anyone who may have seen a green Land Rover Defender travelling in convoy with a white or very light blue Vauxhall Astra van from Wharf Road in Wroughton, towards Waitrose, prior to 8.20pm.

“I’d also be interested in anyone who saw a dark-coloured Audi S5 travelling in convoy with the same Astra van immediately after the incident – approximately 8.30pm.

“I believe the vehicles then travelled over the motorway bridge to Wharf Road and proceeded up towards Chiseldon.

“Were you driving in the area at the time and do you have dash cam footage which could have captured these vehicles? If you do, please get in touch – you could really help with our investigation.”

Waitrose was closed for several hours in the aftermath of the attack.

Bosses at the store vowed to work with police to catch those responsible.

A day after the theft, a Waitrose spokesman said: “We’re grateful to the police for their swift response and will continue to support them with their investigation.”

Anyone with any information about the theft should call police on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
