A SWASHBUCKLING adventure for youngsters, The Night Pirates, will be served up as a half-term treat at the Wyvern Theatre on Monday and Tuesday.

Presented by Rose Theatre Kingston and Nick Brooke Ltd, the performance is adapted from the best-selling children’s book by Peter Harris and Deborah Allwright.

It tells the story of a group of little girl pirates who meet a young boy called Tom. Eager to join the adventure, Tom uses his house as a pirate shop and sets sail to retrieve stolen treasure from Captain Patch and the bumbling grown-up pirates.

Adapted and directed by Miranda Larson, the show combines original songs and swashbuckling adventures, suitable for any budding young pirate aged three or over.

The play runs for 55 minutes, without an interval, beginning at 1.30pm on Monday, and 11am and 2pm on Tuesday.

A pre-show party from 12.30pm to 1.30pm will take place on Monday, with music, colouring, a pirate buffet – tickets are £7 for children – available for pre-booking only.
