THE A419 has reopened following a crash between a lorry and a car this morning.
Police said the southbound carriageway, which was completely closed from Cricklade towards Swindon, was clear just after 4.30pm.
Six men – five of them in the car – were injured in the crash which happened just before 10am as the lorry emerged from the Castle Eaton junction.
Two were taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with life threatening injuries. The rest were ferried to the Great Western Hospital.
