PHIL Messenger's great picture of a paraglider at Barbury Castle as the sun goes down is the long-awaited winner of the Swindon Camera Club's Picture of the Month award for September.
As a registered member of the club Phil wins £50 of Love2Shop vouchers.
His picture was judged September's best by Advertiser chief photographer Thomas Kelsey.
Phil, a tool hire centre supervisor who lives in Walcot, took up photography about 10 years ago.
He said: "I used to take photographs of tarantulas which I kept and upload them to my web site.
"They seemed to go down well so I began to spend more time taking pictures."
If you’d like to join the club – and be in with a chance of winning – you need to register by emailing ian.parker@wiltshire.newsquest.co.uk
Don’t forget to leave your name, location, and a daytime phone number.
