THREE thugs tried to snatch a woman's handbag as she walked through Gorse Hill last week.
The attempted robbery happened at around 11.50pm on Wednesday (Oct 25) in the walkway between Cricklade Road and Carpenters Lane where a woman was approached by three unknown males who demanded she hand over her handbag.
They then grabbed the bag but she managed to hold on to it and ran off unhurt; although she was badly shaken.
PC Joseph Rees said: "We'd like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard this incident or anyone who may have CCTV in this area - if you can help, please come forward."
Anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious in the area at the time or can help police with their enquiries should contact PC Joseph Rees on 101 or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
