A BIKE thief will be in breach of a suspended prison sentence should he repeat the crime.

Kyle James Coupe, 23, of Walter Close, The Prinnels, pleaded guilty to stealing a bicycle worth £700 when he appeared before Swindon magistrates on October 23.

The court gave him a six-month prison sentence, suspended for 12 months.

He was also ordered to complete 10 rehabilitation days and 100 hours of unpaid work.

Coupe was told to pay £700 compensation. No order was made for costs.

Last year Coupe was in court for stealing a bicycle and was jailed for 15 months for attacking a group of homeless people in Whalebridge Car Park.

He filmed himself as he punched, kicked, kneed and stamped on the men, some of whom were dozing in sleeping bags, during the prolonged attack.
