LIDL is recalling four varieties of its Deluxe Drinking Chocolate Sticks as they contain various allergens which are not written in English.

This means the products are a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy to soya, an allergy or intolerance to milk or its constituents, an allergy to nuts or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten.

The Deluxe Drinking Chocolate Sticks - Fine Dark Chocolate contains soya, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to soya.

The Deluxe Drinking Chocolate Sticks - Fine Hazelnut contains milk, nuts and soya, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, and/or an allergy to nuts and/or an allergy to soya.

The Deluxe Drinking Chocolate Sticks - With Speculoos contains milk, wheat and soya, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, and/or an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten and/or an allergy to soya.

The Deluxe Drinking Chocolate Sticks - Fine White Chocolate contains milk and soya, making it a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents, and/or an allergy to soya.

A spokesman for the Food Standards Agency said: "Lidl is recalling the above products from customers and has been advised by the FSA to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their members of the recall.

"The company has also issued point-of-sale notices in its stores. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products.

"If you have bought any of the above products and have allergies or intolerances to soya, nuts, milk, or wheat or gluten, do not eat them.

"Please return the products to the store from where it was bought for a full refund."
