RELIVE the glory days of Swedish music phenomenon ABBA tonight, as the tribute show Thank You for the Music is appearing at Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre.

The international hit show brings all ABBA’s number one songs to the stage, along with plenty of colourful costumes, and the unmistakable harmonies of the original band.

The tribute show will include favourites such as Waterloo, Dancing Queen, Super Trouper, Knowing Me Knowing You, The Winner Takes It All and – of course – Thank You for the Music.

ABBA formed in Stockholm in 1972 and became one of the most commercially successful bands in the history of pop music, winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974, and selling hundreds of millions of records worldwide.

Although the band ended in 1982, their music has lived on in several films, such as Muriel’s Wedding, and the popular musical and film Mamma Mia!

The show tonight, which begins at 7.30pm, will also feature the UK’s top Bee Gees tribute act. Tickets are £26, with concessions available. To book, visit swindontheatres.co.uk or call 01793 524481. - Sarah Singleton
