FEARS are growing for the safety of a teenager missing from home.

Police officers are appealing for the help of the public as they search for missing Balin Sadullah Karin.

The 16-year-old has not been seen since Thursday, October 12, when he told friends he was heading out of town.

They believed that he intended to travel to Leeds but officers now think he may be in the London area.

Investigations suggest that Balin was last seen wearing a khaki padded bomber jacket, dark tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

He has been described as being approximately 5ft1 in height, of slim build, with black cropped hair.

Officers leading the search have released a photo in an attempt to jog peoples’ memories.

PC Tara Plaister, of Wiltshire Police, said: “Extensive enquiries have been carried out since Balin was reported missing in a bid to locate him, but unfortunately these have been unsuccessful.

“We are growing increasingly concerned about his welfare and would like to hear from anyone who may have information or, from Balin, himself.”

PC Plaister urged anyone with information to call the force non-emergency number on 101, or alternatively, to get in touch with Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
