There will be no room on the road in the week before Christmas for residents on one Eastcott road.

Council officers plan to resurface Prospect Hill over five days next month.

The works, which will also see Churchward Avenue closed, will begin on December 18. Construction workers will be on site from 8am to 6pm, with the works expected to finish on December 22.

Those living on Prospect Hill have been asked to move their cars while contractors are working on the road.

In a letter to residents, Ben Adams, assistant project manager at Swindon Borough Council, wrote: "Residents are requested not to park their vehicles on the road during the above times and Traffic Marshalls will be available to control traffic and help assist members of the public."
