Goddard Avenue will be closed later this month for resurfacing roadworks.
The works which have been delayed by wintry weather, will begin on Wednesday, December 20, and are expected to last two days.
Council officers say the works will improve the surface and skid resistance of the road – as well as extending its life.
In a letter to residents, the borough council’s Highways project manager Ben Adams wrote: “Please do not park your vehicles on the road during the road closure. Traffic marshals will be available to control the traffic and help assist members of the public.”
