IT’S not every day you see Santa’s sleigh being pulled through Swindon.
Staff from family-owned construction firm Beard Swindon dressed up in festive costumes earlier today to travel from Greenbridge retail park to the designer outlet with the sleigh to end its 125th birthday celebrations in style and raise money for a good cause.
The business hopes that the eye-catching journey will raise the last £1,000 of its £15,000 fundraising campaign for the Brighter Futures Radiotherapy Appeal and autism charity DASH.
A team of 15 braved the bitter cold to complete the trip along Shrivenham Road and past the County Ground towards the MacArthur Glen outlet.
Chloe Thomas from Brighter Futures said: “It’s amazing, I’ve never seen anything like it in all my years of fundraising.
“It’s fantastic to see everyone get involved and work together to do this, especially in this cold weather.
“It’s a magical, festive and quirky way to end their fundraising.”
