PEOPLE across Swindon are wearing their best Christmas jumpers in aid of Save the Children today.
The charity uses the annual event to raise funds for vulnerable children across the globe.
Today, hundreds across the town will be marking the annual event by wearing their best - or most garish - festive knits.
Among them will be staff at Specsavers' Regent Street store
David Grieves, store director, said: "Christmas is just around the corner and lots of children are looking forward to waking up in their warm beds on Christmas morning.
"However, there are children that don’t even have a roof over their head, let alone a warm bed to sleep in."
Save the Children say the donations they receive from the annual Christmas Jumper Day help funds their life-saving work.
“Your jumper could be the difference between a hot meal or no meal," they said.
"It can help bring essential healthcare, education, protection and food to millions of children around the world who are missing out on these basics."
