X-FACTOR star Jahméne Douglas is expected to perform a homecoming gig – and it’s all thanks to his Swindon fans.
The singer, who grew up in Swindon, scored a runner-up spot to James Arthur on the 2012 series of the smash-hit ITV show.
This week Jahméne, 26, took to social media to ask fans where they would like to see him perform.
Swindon topped the online poll – after the star’s Wiltshire fans voted for the town ahead of cities like London, Manchester and Birmingham.
Writing on the star’s Twitter page, one fan pleaded: “We need you here in Swindon. Please help.”
Revealing that Swindon had come top of the poll, former Asda Haydon Wick shelf-stacker Jahméne told his followers to “stay tuned” for news about future gigs.
