COURT: Swindon magistrates committed a 20-year-old woman to the crown court for sentencing after she admitted charges of assaulting a man and possessing a knife a public place. Amanie Gold, of Trevello Road, Wichelstowe caused actual bodily harm to her victim in the incident on August 30. She was granted unconditional bail when she appeared before the Swindon bench on December 20.

COURT: Jonathan Gregory is due to appear before Swindon magistrates on January 12 to be sentenced having a loaded shotgun with him on the B4019 without lawful authority or reasonable excuse. Gregory, aged 32, of Burytown Lane, Blunsdon admitted the charge and was granted unconditional bail while a pre-sentence report is prepared.

COURT: A tagged curfew was imposed on Carl Hunter by Swindon magistrates after he admitted a racially aggravated charge of using threatening behaviour towards another man. Hunter, aged 21, of Willows Avenue, also destroyed a police handbook following the incident on August 25. He admitted both allegations and was given a 13-day curfew between 7pm and 7am. On December 20 the bench also ordered him to pay a total of £29 compensation with £85 towards victim services and another £85 prosecution costs.

COURT: Gary Long is to appear before a judge at Swindon Crown Court accused of indecently assaulting a boy under the age of 14 in 1997. Long, aged 37, of Mulberry Grove, is set to go into the dock on January 19. He was granted bail by Swindon magistrates on December 20 when he was ordered not to contact the alleged victim and not to have any contact with children under the age of 18 in a private location unless supervised by an adult.

COURT: A woman accused of damaging property inside a house in Beddington Court, Swindon and hitting the wall outside with a car is to appear before the town’s magistrates on Wednesday. Amy Willis, aged 28, of The Beeches, Britwell, Slough, was granted conditional appeal by the bench on December 20.
