A MAN who is accused of kidnapping and robbing a woman is to face trial by judge and jury.
Lee Mapstone also pleaded not guilty to possessing a kitchen knife when his case was heard at Swindon Crown Court.
The 36-year-old, who appeared by video link from Bullingdon Prison, is said to have committed the three offences on Sunday, September 24 last year.
It is alleged he stole a ring and bracelet during the robbery and had the knife at The Bungalows, Pinehurst.
Mapstone, of no fixed abode, pleaded not guilty to kidnap, robbery and possessing a bladed article.
Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case to Monday, May 14 and remanded him in custody until then.
