COMMUTERS faced delays this morning, as Thames Water roadworks began on Bath Road.

Three-way traffic lights have been erected on the roundabout with Eastcott Road.

Thames Water say the works are to replace a valve that controls the flow of water to a nearby property.

The valve has been replaced, with Thames Water officers now having to repair the road surface.

A spokeswoman said workers hoped to be finished tomorrow.

However, the water company have until Friday, January 19 to complete the works.
