SWINDON'S hospice has won a £2,000 cash boost from the Freemasons.
The Royal Sussex Lodge, which meets in Old Town, collected the cash for Prospect Hospice.
Freemasons Ron Fairhurst and David Lewis handed over a cheque to the Prospect's Hollie Ricketts during a recent visit to the Wroughton hospice.
The donation came as the lodge celebrates its 200th anniversary in Swindon.
Spokesman Des Morgan said: "Lodge members are generous supporters of Prospect and have once again chosen the hospice as one of the charities they will be supporting in this, their bi-centenary year."
Over the coming months, Freemasons from the lodge will be holding various events marking the 200th anniversary.
They include a meeting at the Old Town Masonic Centre attended by Freemason dignitaries.
