Residents have been invited to have their say on proposals to build 62 new homes on land near Croft Road at a consultation tomorrow afternoon.
Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire has drawn up plans for the new development, which will include 31 per cent affordable housing.
The consultation session will take place at the Community Centre at Christ Church in Old Town’s Cricklade Street, between 3:30pm and 7pm tomorrow.
The event will give local residents, businesses, community groups and other interested parties the chance to find out more about the scheme, and discuss the plans with the Taylor Wimpey project team.
Steve Neal, the senior planning manager for Taylor Wimpey Oxfordshire, said: “As a considerate, responsible developer, we want to give people the chance to have their say on development plans for their area.
“Anyone who comes along to our public exhibition on 23 January will be able to speak to members of our project team to find out more about our proposals and provide their feedback to help us develop and refine the emerging scheme.”
The proposed development would have vehicular access from Croft Road, and pedestrian access from Ambrose Road.
Further details about the plans will be revealed at the consultation session.
The developers say that they are looking to hear comments from local residents and the wider public before before a full planning application is submitted to Swindon Borough Council before the end of February 2018.
