JAKE WADLEY is the winner of our camera club's Picture of the Month for December with this atmospheric image taken at Steam museum.

Jake, 21, of Gorse Hill, used his Canon 70D to get pictures at the special event staged by Timeline Events, which uses live actors to recreate scenes from years gone by..

"Members of the public are invited along but not too many people know about it," he said. "They use smoke machines to make it atmospheric and as realistic as possible."

A truck mechanic for SW Group Logistics, Jake also has a passion for trains and volunteers at the Swindon and Cricklade Railway in his own time. He decided to combine his love of photography with his interest in trains in some of his work.

"I got my first camera when I was at school, and I started taking a few pictures. A few years ago I decided to focus on it a bit more and start making some memories.

"There are some very good people in Swindon taking some great pictures so it;s a real honour to win this prize."
