Residents can quiz councillors on the new development at Badbury Park next month.
Staff in Swindon Borough Council’s planning, highways and education departments will be on hand to answer questions on everything from school places to improvements to Junction 15 of the M4.
Ward councillors Fionuala Foley and Eric Shaw will also attend.
At a meeting of South Swindon Parish Council this week, it was suggested that people would be canvassed for their interest in volunteering at the proposed Badbury Park community centre.
Parish clerk Joyce Holman said: “I did meet with Councillor Fionuala Foley. She’s very keen to have this drop in event, the reason being to try and find some members of the public that might be interested in running the community space.
“If we can’t get people who live in the area interested in running the community space, then the next backstop for running the community space is almost certainly going to be the parish council.”
The Badbury Park drop-in event will be on Wednesday, March 7, 5pm-7pm in Lecture Hall One at the Great Western Hospital Academy.
