CELEBRITY chef Marco Pierre White popped into the Swindon branch of his Bardolino restaurants on Wednesday night.

Starstruck diners watched as he went around the tables chatting with everyone and posing for pictures before settling down for a nice meal.

Marco officially opened the Italian restaurant on Wood Street last year and returned to enjoy the jazz night.

Bardolino Swindon's proprietor Manni Madhani really enjoyed Marco's visit.

He said: "The atmosphere was amazing.

"It was a full house and he was mingling with all the staff and customers and making sure everything was up to scratch.

"He was really pleased to be there and he had a great time.

"It was a massive treat for us.

"The staff are always excited when Marco's coming, he's fantastic and such a nice guy.

"He called me on Tuesday and wanted to come back for a friendly visit because he'd been travelling a lot and hadn't been here for a while.

"He's very fond of Swindon, he wanted to support his business and support the town.

"It's always a pleasure to have him.

"He said he had such a good time that he'll come back again soon."
