COUPLES planning to tie the knot can discover all they need to know about having the perfect wedding day during a special bridal fair which takes place next month.

Visitors will be able to look around the Register Office’s three wedding ceremony rooms and there will be a fashion show with the chance to win a free wedding.

Experts will be on hand throughout the event to answer any questions and can provide information on wedding law.

Mamie Beasant, Swindon Borough Council’s superintendent registrar, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming people to the Wedding Fair and showing couples the three stunning ceremony rooms that we have at the Register Office.

“We know just how important wedding days are and one of the aims of the fair is to show off the wonderful facilities that we offer as well as giving our expert advice to couples.”

The free-to-enter event will be held at the Civic Offices in Euclid Street on Sunday, March 4 between 11am and 3pm.

Prospect Hospice will also have a pop-up shop at the event, along with many other exhibitors, such as florists and photographers.

David Renard, leader of Swindon Borough Council, said: “This is a great opportunity to find out more about what the Register Office has to offer. I would invite anyone who may be planning a wedding, or just wants to learn more, to come along and see how we can contribute to that special day.”
