A man who admitted assaulting a woman in a case of domestic violence has been warned he is facing a jail term.

Thomas Tear pleaded guilty to a charge of actual bodily harm dating from May last year when he appeared before Swindon Crown Court.

And the 24-year-old, of Chester Street, also admitted assaulting a man by beating in August.

Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case to Friday February 23 so a presentence report can be prepared and released Tear on conditional bail.

He said "You have pleaded guilty to serious matters which are likely to result in an immediate prison sentence."
