Air ambulance, police and ambulance services have attended an accident in the town centre.
A woman was reportedly struck by an 11 Thamesdown bus outside the courts on Princes Street.
Traffic has slowed to a crawl near the site, and police are advising motorists to avoid the area. Traffic is being stopped at the roundbout by Halfords and Spring Gardens, and delays are expected.
Paramedics and police were called to the incident at 1.22pm, and the injured woman is believed to have been taken to Great Western Hospital by ambulance.
Wiltshire Air Ambulance also attended the scene, landing at the nearby Spring Gardens.
In total, four police units, two paramedic units, one ambulance and the air ambulance attended the scene.
A police spokesman confirmed that there are not expected to be any serious injuries.
