TWO former Adver reporters are pulling on their running shoes in preparation for the Brighton Marathon in aid of Breast Cancer Care.

Scott D’Arcy and Emma Dunn will take on the 26 miles and 385 yards on Sunday, April 15.

They are running in aid of the only specialist UK-wide charity providing support for anyone affected by breast cancer. More than 300 charities are expected to have runners taking part in the annual run which takes in the famous seafront.

Scott, who now works as a news reporter for the Press Association in London will be running the Big Half as training for the Brighton Marathon.

He said: “It’s my first, and likely last, attempt at a marathon and I know your donations will keep me going when I have to run through the inevitable wall I will face at around the three-mile mark.”

Emma now works for the charity and has done the marathon once before but it’s still a huge challenge and they plan to draw on each other's strength to help them get to the finish line.

So far they have raised £80 towards their target of £430 on online donation page Just Giving.
