WATER has returned to homes and businesses in South Swindon following a burst water main in East Wichel Way.
Buildings in the SN1 and SN3 postcodes were left without running water for hours this afternoon as workmen rushed to fix the leak.
Thames Water have now confirmed that pressure has returned and water is flowing again.
#SN1 #SN3 water should be back, the repair has been completed 🤗 . You might experience low pressure, as we're slowly releasing the water back to the area.

It was touch and go for some businesses, though. Jack’s bistro in Victoria Road had to disappoint people hoping for a coffee and it caused problems for Italian restaurant Bardolino in Wood Street, whose proprietor, Manni Madhani, was rather displeased due to it being the second time it has happened since Christmas.
Thames Water apologised for the inconvenience caused and thanked people for their patience.
