A POST-mortem ordered after the death of a man in his fifties has proven inconclusive, police say.

The man's body was discovered outside Moredon care home Park Farm, The Street, shortly before 7.30am on Monday morning.

Police say they continue to treat the death as "unexplained", with detectives renewing their appeal for any information that could help them understand the circumstances surrounding the man's death.

A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: "Officers are continuing to make enquiries to piece together the man's last known movements to try and establish how he died. Further forensic tests are also being carried out.

"We would like to re-appeal for anyone who may have information to help our investigation to come forward. Did you hear or see anything suspicious in this area of Moredon on Sunday evening or first thing Monday morning?

"If so, please call 101 or, if you wish to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

Forensics officers were yesterday seen taking evidence from the scene, including a walking stick and mobile phone from a bench outside Park Farm.

Police officers continue to guard the crime scene, which has been roped off. A forensics tent has also been erected outside the entrance to Park Farm.

Officers have also been posted to a house further down The Street. Forensics officers were yesterday photographing the entrance to the house.
