Bombarding a woman with unwanted calls and voicemails to her mobile and assaulting a police station detention officer cost Kevin Turner £110.

The 64-year-old of Long Close, Chippenham admitted harassment of the woman in Swindon between November 20 and January 19. He also pleaded guilty to assaulting the officer on January 29. Imposing a one-year conditional discharge, Swindon magistrates ordered him to pay £50 compensation to the officer, £40 prosecution costs and £20 towards victim services.

A man of 25 who pleaded guilty to assaulting another man four times has been ordered to undergo mental health treatment for the next 12 months.

Jack Hardie-Brooks, of Bath Road, Old Town, carried out the attacks over the space of five days in January, Swindon magistrates heard. They imposed a 12-month community order and directed him to take part in rehabilitation activities. He was also told to pay £85 prosecution costs.

Daniel Cservenszki was ordered to pay a woman £100 compensation when he pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to a woman’s property. The defendant, 28, of Radnor Street, was told by Swindon Magistrates Court he had to pay it by March 21, but no order for court costs was made because of his lack of means.

Magistrates fined a man £155 and ordered him to pay £250 court costs when he changed his plea and admitted assaulting a woman.

Garry Johnson, 43, who gave a care of address in Bowleymead, carried out the assault on September 20 and had been due to go through a trial. The Swindon bench imposed a 12-month community order and told him to pay £85 costs.
