POLICE remain at the scene of a stabbing yesterday afternoon which saw a teenage boy rushed to hospital.

Officers from Wiltshire Police are currently within the grounds of Eldene Nursery and Primary School, having first been called to the scene yesterday afternoon at 4.10pm.

A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said that a 17-year-old man had been seriously assaulted near the grounds of the school on Thursday afternoon.

The South Western Ambulance Service confirmed he had been stabbed, with paramedics rushing him to the emergency department at Great Western Hospital.

Police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact 101.
