PEATMOOR: A man was taken to hospital after he was assaulted outside Woodlands Edge pub in an apparently unprovoked attack.
The 37-year-old victim who is from the area suffered a facial injury as a result of the incident at about 7pm on Saturday. Police described the attacker as a bald white man aged in his thirties. He was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone who saw the incident or has any information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact DC Mark Harris at Swindon CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
COURT: Zamfeir Remus, 26, was fined £660 for driving on the A346 at Chiseldon without insurance.
Remus, of Hamilton Road, Salisbury, was caught on November 15 2017 in a Ford Transit. Six penalty points were added to his driving licence. For using the vehicle when no test certificate had been issued, he was fined an extra £220.
He didn’t appear at Swindon Magistrates Court to plead to the charges but they were proved in his absence.
Remus must also pay £85 in prosecution costs and £66 to victim services.
