A TOOTHILL man has been charged following a fight on Saturday that saw a street closed for several hours.
Edward Booth, 26, was charged by detectives with breaching his bail conditions, affray and possession of bladed article in public.
He has been released on a curfew, after appearing before Swindon magistrates on Tuesday.
Another local man, 27, has also been arrested in relation to the Corfe Road fight. He has been released under investigation.
999 crews were called to Corfe Road, off Freshbrook Way, at around 4pm – following reports of a fight. Specialist fire appliances rushed to the scene, following reports of a “minor hazmat [hazardous materials] incident”. A woman was treated for minor injuries, confirmed by South Western Ambulance Service to be suspected burns.
