A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs after a concerned member of the public called police.
Officers were called to Rushey Platt in Swindon, shortly before 10pm on Sunday by a resident who reported a suspicious vehicle possibly linked to drug dealing.
Police arrived at 10.04pm and when officers approached the vehicle, a man ran off down the nearby canal towpath.
Officers gave chase on foot and found a man hiding in bushes.
They searched the man and seized three mobile phones and a quantity of bank notes.
They also recovered a package on the footpath which contained what is believed to be Class A drugs.
A 20-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
