Two mums whose lives have been touched by cancer hope a rock painting party will raise hundreds of pounds for the Prospect Hospice.

Inspired by rock painting events elsewhere, Ceri Tranter and Rachel Mason hope that families will come along and daub their own rock with colour next month. The rocks will then be hidden across Royal Wootton Bassett, with anyone coming across a rock encouraged to hide it elsewhere.

Ceri, 40, said: “My mum has terminal cancer and I lost a very close friend to cancer. Rachel’s grandad was in the Prospect Hospice.”

The rock painting will be on Saturday, May 5, at the Cross Keys Inn, Royal Wootton Bassett, with sessions at 10am-12pm and 2pm-4pm, £2 per person. The rocks will be hidden around the town the following day, with people meeting outside the Cross Keys Inn at 11.30am.
