THE POTHOLE paradise of a Wroughton doll clan will be repaired by the end of the month.
Drivers were left delighted when dad Neville Daytona began leaving dolls’ heads in a bin-lid sized pothole on Mill Lane, over the M4.
But the joke came to an end this week when the hole was filled in after a patch repair. Highways England plans to finish the job by the end of the month.
Spokesman Stephen Pearson said: “We have identified damage to the waterproof membrane of the bridge, which in turn has led to the surface damage.
“We are currently planning to repair the issue by the end of May, as soon as we have scheduled the work with the borough council.”
Reflecting on a month that has seen his dolls hit prime-time BBC, Neville Daytona said: “Making the national press was a bit weird, although there are potholes everywhere.”
“In what may be a last hurrah, I understand dolls Hatty and Bonny are preparing a small celebration for the Royal Wedding and repairs.”
