THE organiser of the MFor Festival has been found safe and well hours after posting a video suggesting he was planning to take his own life.

Graham Stobbs posted a tearful video on the festival's Facebook page at around 9pm announcing that the pop concert and family fun day had been cancelled. He spoke at length about post-traumatic stress disorder and the major effects it can have on people's lives.

The combat veteran implied that he was about to take his own life and apologised profusely because he felt that he had let people down.

Wiltshire Police received calls from concerned viewers and police cars were spotted driving at speed through Old Town, Wroughton and Chiseldon within an hour of the video being uploaded.  Hundreds of supportive messages were posted under the video imploring Graham to get in touch.

Now police have said Mr Stobbs has been found safe.

The MFor Festival was an ambitious music and military event which was to be held in Lydiard Park on July 28.

Its aim was to bring big-name performers to Swindon and raise awareness of mental health issues which affect military veterans and the homeless.

Pixie Lott, Peter Andre, ex-JLS star Aston Merrygold, ‘90s boyband 5ive, soul group Dave Finnigan’s Commitments, and local band The Tribe were all booked to perform.

Charities including Combat Stress and Walking the Wounded were also involved.

It is not yet known why the festival was cancelled but we hope that Mr Stobbs gets the support he needs.
