ENJOY a thrilling and interactive journey through the art and science of murder investigation with former detective sergeant and star of BBC Radio 4 comedy It’s A Fair Cop, Alfie Moore.

Moore’s latest stand-up tour is called Getting Away with Murder, stopping off at Swindon Arts Centre on Saturday at 8pm.

Expect his trademark blend of humour, practical policing experience and detailed knowledge of the law as he answers the questions “What makes a murderer?” and “Why do they get caught….or not?”

Experience how it feels to be part of planning the perfect murder, including all the details about choosing a murder weapon to disposing of the body.

Moore came slightly later to comedy, but brings a wealth of insight from his eighteen years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour proved the key to his success and survival.

Born and raised on a council estate in Sheffield he was an apprentice in the steelworks before joining the police. He was inspired to try stand-up comedy in 2007 after his first taste of live comedy at a local comedy club, and was soon performing regularly up and down the country. He has an observational comedic style, which lends itself to witty, and sometimes gritty, anecdotes based on everyday modern policing.

Recommended for audiences aged 14 plus, tickets are £14.50. To book, call 01793 524481 or visit swindontheatres.co.uk.
