SHOEBOX Theatre is running an intensive three-day course on stage combat, focusing on the art of fighting with knives.
Learn and train with professionals to boost your portfolio of skills and acting credentials: successful completion of the course and the final exam will provide you with an Equity recognised qualification.
Even if you are a total beginner, the course from Friday to Sunday June 15-17 will provide you with all that you need to perform a gripping, armed fight safely and dramatically.
The course is suitable for people looking to continue their training at basic level, or who are ready to work at intermediate and advanced levels. Shoebox Theatre, in Theatre Place, Swindon, runs a range of theatre training courses. They have teamed up with the Action Emporium and the Academy of Performance Combat to offer masterclasses and Equity recognised exam courses in stage combat in disciplines such as unarmed, single sword, knife, broadsword and stick fighting.
Sessions, suitable for 18 plus, run each day from 10am to 5.30pm and the course costs £125. For information email info@theactionemporium.com. To book, visit shoeboxtheatre.org.uk.
