COURT: A teenager was ordered to do 60 hours of unpaid work when he pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman.

Zane Earney-Maslen, 19, of Hilmarton Avenue, Penhill, had previously denied carrying out the assault on January 5. But he changed his plea when he appeared before Swindon magistrates.

The bench handed him a 12-mionth community order and instructed him to pay an £85 victim services contribution.

COURT: Christian Henly was landed with a £780 bill after he admitted smashing the rear window of another man’s car and using threatening behaviour towards him.

Swindon magistrates heard Henly, who also goes by the name of Hanley, caused £250 damage to the window on January 24.

The defendant, of Haig Close, was ordered to pay £250 compensation along with £415, £30 to victim services and £85 court costs.

COURT: A woman who sent grossly offensive Facebook messages to a man was given a curfew by Swindon magistrates.

Victoria Little, 21, of Swindon Road pleaded guilty and was made the subject of a community order for 12 months. The 14-day curfew meant she had to stay in her home between 7pm and 7am daily.
