COURT: Swindon magistrates handed down a 12-month ban to Paul Clark when he pleaded guilty to being over the drink drive limit when he took a Mitsubishi Colt on a Highworth road.

The defendant, 42, of Westrop, was caught on November 11 with a level of 108 milligrams of alcohol in his blood.

He was fined £170 with another £30 towards victim services and £85 prosecution costs on top.

COURT: A woman who drove off after her car collided with another in the car park at Ridgeway Hospital was fined by magistrates.

Claudette Cooper, 67, of Grange Park, Swindon admitted failing to stop and failing to report the accident, which happened on October 26.

The bench fined her £115 and ordered her to pay costs and a contribution to victim services totalling £105

COURT: Blair Egerton was instructed to undergo six months of treatment for drug dependency as part of a 12-month community order imposed for stealing nearly £220-worth of alcohol.

Egerton, 30, of Manor Crescent, who also uses the surname Golding, pleaded guilty to taking the drink from Tesco in Ocotal Way in two thefts on March 31.

He also admitted having the class C drug subutex in his possession.

He was ordered to pay £30 compensation and £50 court costs by Swindon magistrates who ordered the destruction of the drugs
