A DRIVER has been arrested after allegedly leading police on a car chase around central Swindon.
Officers spent around half an hour tailing the 31-year-old around the Broadgreen area, before finally bringing him to a stop near Graham Street.
Now, police want anyone who saw the Malmesbury man’s Mitsubishi Colt driving around the area to come forward.
A Wiltshire Police spokeswoman said: “Anyone who witnessed the vehicle being driven in the town centre area, or anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the Mitsubishi Colt, being driven between 4.40am and 5am, should call police on 101, quoting log number 33 of 20 June.”
Officers got their first call at around 4.45am on Wednesday morning to reports of a suspected drink driver on Queens Drive.

A few minutes later, a man matching the description of the driver was seen running from officers in the Broadgreen area.”
He was found in an alleyway between Roseberry Street and Graham Street. Police arrested him on suspicion of failing to stop and being unfit to drive through drink or drugs. He remains in custody.
